My First Month Back In SLC

Image
The very moment I dropped Bea off at the airport I went for my first job interview. Kind of a insane decision, but I came back to Utah without a job :| I spent the first while going on daily target runs for this little something I forgot... It is not cheap to furnish a house, even a small studio. All the while looking for a new job. I ended up landing a job at a Starbucks down the street. The tips are shitty, but the staff is incredibly nice and is constantly telling me I am doing a great job. Who would have though a few years at Bjorns Brew would really helped out ;) I am only one week in but it is exhausting. I have to wake up early at 5 am and am not yet used to working on my feet for long hours. And so I come home and immediately take a nap. I spend my off time doing a variety of things. Here are a few photos! Even doing laundry gets a feature. It's a big difference from having my clothes cleaned, folded, and delivered to me multiple times a week... I spend time here each week ...

How I Spent My Time During The Coronavirus So Far

Holy shit it's been an insane, lifechanging year, hasn't it? It may sound strange but I have mostly positive remarks for it. I made some wild decisions. After visiting the family in North Carolina for my super-extended spring break, I realized I needed some more family time. It's rough living on your own! I was still facing a lot of inner demons, and feeling extremely lonely in Utah. The Coronavirus and all its uncertainly led me to quit my job that I loved. I was still one semester away from gra...

First Post!

Hello and welcome! As a warning this blog will be all over the place and possibly lack posts for long periods of time. I hope it will become a form of journaling for me.  Anyhow, welcome to a day in the life of Ian. (Probably 2019? I don't know, I just like this picture) I guess we'll start with a recap of the last few years. I attended and graduated from the University of Utah with a undergraduate degree doing 3D modeling, game art, and design. All the while being super indecisive, moving back and forth between North Carolina, with my family, and Utah, to focus on school. All while dealing with an eating disorder (more on those as we go on).  Meet Calcifer! This little guy is my pride and joy. Or a terror that steps on my throat at 3 am. It really depends. Got him while I was fnishing up college and was feeling a little lonely. He is a well traveled guy. He was born in SLC, road tripped to North Carolina, only to drive back to SLC a year later. I am a big anime fan...
